The Maruthi School of Banking was started in the year 2008 by a young and dynamic couple Mr.Mohan and Mrs. Sivagami Mohan. The enterprise began with Mrs.Sivagami understanding the shortcuts to solving problems associated with arithmetic calculations and other problems. She realised that she was gifted in some manner and that in sharing these shortcuts with her friends and neighbours, she could be doing them a great service. As we all know, in helping others you are often indirectly helping yourself! This selfless endeavour of Mrs.Sivagami led her and her husband Mohan to slowly start an enterprise where they began coaching students in not only solving problems using short cuts but in all aspects of the banking exam preparation.
Many of her students came to the institute learning about this extraordinary skill that Mrs.Sivagami possessed and the word spread in many circles about the institute that the dynamic duo had started. After this there was no stopping them.
The institute grew quickly in number and the students were placed in excellent jobs in nationalised banks. The State Bank of India was the first to recruit 50 of the students from Maruthi School of Banking and after this there was no stopping the students. Those students who were attended the courses and took up positions in prestigious banks spread the word and the coaching centre grew from strength to strength. With the numbers increasing the centre expanded its scope and had many more experts and teachers come in to impart their knowledge with enthusiasm and zeal. Today the center has grown in number to a 13 member’s team, and a total of 1200 students have been placed in banks and government exams.
There is an exciting story behind the naming of the coaching center. Even before the center was started Mrs. Sivagami would be taxed with some quantitative arithmetic problem and she would rack her brains to find a solution. She would go to bed that evening with no resolution and a feeling unhappy about that. She would pray to her favourite god Hanuman (also called Maruthi in Hindu Mythology) and leave it in his hands. Miraculously the next morning she would have a short cut present itself in her mind and she would be enthralled.
Mrs. Sivagami hence believes that it was the Lord’s blessings that have helped her and that it was not her efforts at all. She owes everything to her Lord and hence the name Maruthi School Of Banking. Her faith and her conviction have been well rewarded and the coaching centre has grown by leaps and bounds while the students have all been placed in banks with great careers. Maruthi the Lord himself is seen as a Lord with greatest determination and fearlessness along with conviction of purpose. Maruthi School of Banking has been true to its name and adhering to this has made them coaching centre with the greatest principles.
