How to Avoid Negative Marking in Bank Exams?

1.Read and Understand the Question

As we know, the crucial element in every banking exam, especially in prelims is ‘time’ In a span of just 60  minutes you are supposed to answer 100 questions. So, because of this hurry, aspirants fail to read and understand the question correctly. This happens mainly in the puzzle section. Without paying much heed to the instructions aspirants ends up solving wrong and hence negative marking.

2. Select the options correctly

This is also another example of paying no or least attention. The banking answer choices appear to be more or less the same and therefore there are high chances of aspirants marking the wrong options. So always cross check your options with the answer before marking.

3. Guess Work is “Prohibited”

This is the most important reason for getting negative marks. Due to the urge of attempting maximum questions, candidates tends to guess the answers. This happens mainly in the English section. Without analysing the question properly, candidates marks the wrong answer

4. Practice is the Key

Practising enough mock tests are the only solution to avoid negative marking. Attempting the mock test and analysing the answers will help you figure out what and where went wrong. Attempting mock tests will also help you identify your strong and weak sections so if similar cases appears in the real examination, you will be cautious automatically.

5. Keep Patience

Attempting exams sometimes feel like literally sitting on a hot bowl. Due to immense stress, candidates may cause mistakes which will end up in negative marking. So it is very important to keep your calm while giving the exam. Be cautious while solving puzzles and calculations.
