State Bank of India (SBI) has released the notification for SBI Clerk Exam 2021. The notification was released on April 26, 2021 releasing posts for 5237 vacancies. . As per the official notification, SBI Clerk Prelims Exam is scheduled to be held in the month of June and Mains exam will be held in the month of July.

SBI Clerk Eligibility Criteria
- Age Limit: Candidates age shall be between 20 years and 28 years as of January 01, 2021. Candidates must have been born not earlier than January 02, 1993, and not later than 2001 January 01. (both days inclusive). The upper age relaxation criteria for various groups are:
- ` Education Qualification: Candidates should have completed graduation/degree in any stream from any UGC recognized university or its equivalent.

The clerk recruitment process consists of three stages of screening:
- Preliminary exam (Phase I)
- Main exam (Phase II)
- Test of Local Language

SBI Clerk Salary 2021
The pay scale for the clerical cadre in SBI is 11765-655/3-13730-815/3-16175-980/4-20095-1145/7-28110- 2120/1- 30230-1310/1-31450. The starting Basic Pay is Rs. 13075/. (Rs. 11765/ plus two advance increments). After 3 years of service, the pay will increase to Rs. 13,730/-. Hereafter, there will be an annual increment of Rs. 815/- and so on. In metro cities like Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, etc the gross starting Pay will be about Rs. 25000/ including the allowances like DA, HRA, and others. In all other places, the gross pay will be nearly Rs. 23000/ depending upon the place of posting as HRA varies.
Other Important Details
- No definite number of attempts are mentioned in the notification but a candidate can attempt as many times till he or she is 28 years old. 28 years is the maximum age limit mentioned.
- In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Bank can conduct the PET either through physical classes or through online resources, depending on the feasibility
- There will no sectional as well as overall cut-off this time, you will be selected on the basis of the number of vacancies announced. Candidates Approximately 10 times the number of vacancies will be shortlisted for Mains.
- From 01.06.2021 (Tentatively) onwards, candidates may download their call letter and a “acquaint yourself booklet” for the preliminary test by entering their registration number and password/date of birth on the Bank’s website
- From 19.07.2021 onwards (Tentatively), candidates who will qualify for the main examination will be able to download their call letter from the Bank’s website (following the instructions on the screen)
- Call letter for Preliminary Exam:Call letter of the Preliminary Exam will not be collected at the examination venue. However, it will be duly authenticated or Stamped by the exam centre staff. Candidates will need to retain the call letter (along with authenticated/ stamped copy of the ID proof) safely. Those candidates who will be called for Main Exam will be required to bring this call letter along with the Main Exam call letter and other requisite documents as per the information provided in the “acquaint yourself booklet” and call letter.
