NICL AO Syllabus and Exam Pattern

The insurance sector provides job opportunities, for which examinations are conducted, to shortlist eligible candidates. The IRDA or Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India are the central authority responsible for promoting and maintaining the insurance industry’s growth in India. The National Insurance Company Limited (NICL) is one of the most sought after and highly respected companies.

NICL AO 2021 Exam Pattern

The NICL 2021 Exam Pattern for Administrative Officer is conducted in three stages, and they are as follows:

  • Preliminary Examination
  • Main Examination
  • Personal Interview

NICL AO Prelims Exam Pattern

Descriptive Test

The Descriptive Test will contain 3 questions asked in English that will carry a total of 30 marks and has to be completed in 30 minutes. 

Final Selection

An Interview Process will be conducted for all the candidates clearing the Mains Exam to determine the final selection of the candidate to the post of Assistant Officer through NICL AO 2020 Exam.

Penalty for wrong answers

Preliminary Exam:

0.25 marks will be deducted every time an answer is marked wrong by a candidate. No marks will be deducted if a question is left blank or un-answered.

Main Exam:

0.25 marks will be deducted for every question marked wrong by a candidate. There will be no penalty for leaving a question blank or un-answered.
